Blog Challenge: Day 17 — A book you’ve read that changed your views on something

Given that I’m an avid reader, it’s kind of hard to narrow down the most stand out books.  But if we’re talking non-fiction, then

bible

has by far been the most inspiring, inspirational, encouraging, and enlightening books I’ve ever read.

This book comes to mind pretty quickly for some reason

the shack

I read it at a time in my life when I had a lot of questions about faith and forgiveness and after reading it, I felt I had gained a lot of clarity about each and also about myself.

Yea, I said it!

  1. “I read it at a time in my life when I had a lot of questions about faith and forgiveness and after reading it, I felt I had gained a lot of clarity about each and also about myself.”

This is pretty much how I feel about Paulo Coelho’s “The Alchemist.” That book is the truth and made perfect sense of different things I’d wondered or couldn’t quite put into words.

I just saved “The Shack” to my list of must-reads and hopefully get the opportunity to read and walk away from the read, feeling as you’ve describe. Thanks for sharing.

    • The Alchemist! Oh how I enjoyed that book. I have two copies; one I wrote in and the other is clean. That book moved and touched me in so many ways. In fact, I have quite a few of Paulo Coelho’s books and they’re each very moving in their own way. Check them out when you get a chance. The titles of description may not exactly move you, but TRUST me, you’ll gain something from reading them
